What better way to memorialize Willie Mays than to set his statue as the cornerstone of Oracle Ballpark and on a giant baseball. The statue and ball act as the centerpiece for the entire #1 Willie Mays Plaza and the main entrance to the stadium.
EPD was contracted to perform the brickwork and the dedication pavers that surround this landmark. We installed the bricks in a “seam stitch” pattern just like a real baseball and installed all the dedication pavers in concentric bands in line with the palm planting radiating from the plaza statue toward the stadium. It has become the #1 “photo opportunity” spot at the stadium.
